Amine Lymphedema Center Needs Your Support

Our motivation for this project stems from an unfortunate incident involving an Algerian individual named Amine, who suffered from extreme lymphedema in one of his lower limbs, causing it to weigh 180 kg. Despite the lack of proper diagnosis and treatment in Algeria, Amine was eventually evacuated to Germany …

2023: Orthopedic Mission in Algeria

The Maghreb American Health Foundation (MAHF), in collaboration with an orthopedic surgeon at Boudiaf Hospital in Medea, is sponsoring the visit to Algeria of the esteemed surgeon, Dr. Ratnav Ratan, from Manipal Hospital in New Delhi, India from November 2nd to 8th 2023.

In recent years, the Maghreb American Health Foundation has worked closely with Dr. RATNAV Ratan from Manipal Hospital in New Delhi, India for the treatment of young Algerian orthopedic patients. India has emerged as a preferred destination for numerous orthopedic surgeries owing to its high-quality facilities, superior experts, and adherence to international standards of medical facilities, such as cleanliness, and precautions.

One of the most successful surgeries was performed on a young girl named Aicha from Al-Tarf. She was on the brink of having her left leg amputated, leading her family to seek advice from MAHF. Click on Video link

Background:

Dr. Ratnav Ratan, the Indian surgeon, was able to treat her for four months. As a result, she is now walking and studying in the first year of primary school. Additionally, she is engaged in activities like karate, much like any other child. The linked video depicts the extraordinary transformation from her condition before and after treatment. The stark contrast between the two cases highlights the proficiency of the work.

Other patients treated by Dr. Ratnav include the young Doudja and Sofiane.

These patients are among the ones who are going to be seen by Dr Ratnav

We could not have achieved this mission without your continuous and generous support. Thank you.
